This powerful adaptation by Omar Sangare of Tennessee Williams classic American play is not to be missed. Prof. Sangare's contemporary distillation of Williams' action and words is totally absorbing, and in the end deeply moving. While it shows a radical departure from Williams' dramaturgy as we know it, it is so faithful to the spirit of "Streetcar" that it could have been the sort of play Williams would have written if his productive life had been longer.
